So today I got up pretty early and sat around the house trying on clothes trying to figure out what to wear to this interview. It didn't really matter what I wore, which I didn't realize until I was already there and looking completely overdressed. Regardless of how stupid I thought I looked, apparently they didn't feel that way. The tour/interview went well. I'm going to start on Monday morning at 6:30 working on the cable side, so I'll get a bunch of complaints about why pay per view won't work and why the picture on a tv is fuzzy. It works for me. I left there and stopped at a few places to try to rent that UFC game, pay the cable bill, and pick up something to eat. By the time I got back to Rayland and took the exit my car decided to do the same crap it was doing a month ago with the not wanting to move bullshit. I called my mom half pissed and half crushed because we'd just put over 1000 dollars into it just last month. It's getting ridiculous. So I called the shop and they want me to bring the car in tomorrow. I called my dad and he said he'll help me look for a new car, and I called my mom again who said she'd help me with financing since my credit is absolutely terrible right now.
I found a few cars that I'm interested in on Craigslist. The one I'm really looking at is an old Jetta. Not sure if it's still available. It's been listed for almost 2 weeks. I called and left a message on the machine and I'm going to call again first thing in the morning. Hopefully it's still there. |

My 4th of July was okay. Played a little rockband, went to the family event and ate a lot of delicious food, then wound up at a party that should have been fun, but ended up being kind of boring.
The fireworks were awesome, but Ranjan's sister invited all of her underage friends and it was like a bad high school party that I wouldn't have went to when I was IN high school. I ended up not drinking and bailing pretty early. Richie said he wanted to hang out, then told me no, then said how sorry he was. Repeatedly. It wasn't a big deal, but I think I made him feel worse by telling him it wasn't a big deal. Not sure how that works, but I think that's what happened.
Sunday was a lazy Sunday. I didn't do jack. I watched a few episodes of House, but that was about it.
Today was pretty great though. I went to my assessment test and apparently I did well. My follow-up interview is tomorrow at 2. I cashed my unemployment check and I have enough to pay my bills, which is awesome. My replacement blackberry curve came in the mail today, so I went to Alltel and got that switched out. I went to Blockbuster to rent a game, but they didn't have the one I wanted, so instead I went to the liquor store and got a bottle of tequila, came home, watched pinnapple express, and that leads me to now. Now I'm laying in my bed with my laptop getting ready to watch more House MD and fall asleep to the sweet hum of the air conditioning. Today was a gooooood effing day. |

Even though my dad came and got my car started yesterday, I stayed home all night. I ended up watching the season 5 finale of Grey's Anatomy. Now I have to wait until September to find out what's happening. I hate when they leave the season off with a cliffhanger. I wish they'd just wrap it up in a nice neat little package for me so I'm not going crazy.
Got a call from Danial early this afternoon. Talked to him for a few. I think everything he told me the other night was true, and not just the alcohol talking. I think he was being honest with me. I think he does still care about me. If not, I don't think he'd be calling me to see how I was and if my car was working, etc. He told me he has court on the 8th about the DUI. Hopefully that goes well. I'm worried about him having his license suspended in WV, since he lives over there now. I know getting a DUI in Ohio sucks. I watched it happen to my Mom twice. I think he'll be fine though. From what he tells me anyway.
I decided to go grocery shopping a couple hours ago. I didn't want to go the past two days because of horde with government money. Now I'm not knocking government money, I get it myself. I just know what it's like to go grocery shopping on the 1st. Anyway, when I went to leave, the damn car did the same thing it was doing the other night. No matter how much I turned the wheel or tried to turn the key, it just wouldn't budge. Took me over 10 minutes to finally get it to start. I don't know why my car is locking up like this, but I really need to figure it out.
Well, I'm going to end this and continue watching Nurse Jackie. =] |
